Welcome to my Blog!

This is my first ever blog, YAY! I am going to take you on a journey of fun, fitness and hopefully inspire you to achieve your dreams! It’s been an exciting, eventful, busy and crazy year but is a year I can truly look back on and think ‘YEAH’ I nailed 2016. I’ve ticked so many things off my bucket list and I want to share this with you in the hope to inspire you to dream, set a plan and kick some goals yourself.

Did you know I used to procrastinate, disliked my body and had a few limiting habits like negative self-talk?! I’m not saying I’m perfect now but I’ve got a few tips to share with you to make your journey easier and this what this blog is all about – helping you.

It all started with a diary I purchased at the end of 2015 – and not just any diary. A diary demanding that I reflect on all aspects of my life, physical and emotional health, career, financial, spiritual, relationships, the lot. It asked me to list where I was at with these things, and where I wanted to be. It also asked me to set out things I wanted to achieve over the 365 days of 2016 and why I wanted this.

Each of these needed a deadline, and the year was also broken down into quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily task setting and reflection, asking me what was or wasn’t working and why. It was through the use of this diary I learned the important of being mindful daily, setting goals and breaking everything down into daily steps, reflecting on these often, and owning any behaviours that were inhibiting me completing these tasks. It was through this I managed to let go of my painful habit of procrastination which stemmed from feeling overwhelmed looking at the big job, and probably a fear of failing.

This year I returned to coaching after having a year off, wondering how I was going to manage this with the competing. My pairs went on to win their state preliminaries, state finals and the Australian National Championships.

I also had my article ’10 Steps to Fitness Model Success for Beginners’ published in the April-June issue of Oxygen Fitness Magazine. It was an amazing opportunity to be able to share my voice and reach out to so many women in such a professional and well respected publication. Something that wouldn’t have been possible if I had not conquered self doubt.

I finally enrolled to study in my Diploma of Nutrition, something I had wanted to do for a while. I am learning so much about
Nutrition and I am LOVING it!

I had the wonderful experience of being a part of the new 4 week Bikini Body Advanced program written by Amelia Ricci – Adelaide based Fitness Model Trainer, my super awesome coach. The program was released last week and it is incredible! You can purchase your copy here and enter code KICKSTART for a 5% discount https://livingbeauty.com.au/downloads/4-week-bikini-body-advanced/

I committed to 3 fitness competitions this year, one of them being at home in Perth to compete in front of my family and friends. I placed in all 3 of my competitions and brought my best ever condition to stage since starting my competition journey with Living Beauty in 2012.

I had the privilege of judging The ANBSA Muscle & Model Extravangaza in May, and the Fit Bikini Model Extravaganza Finals in August on the Gold Coast. It was amazing to see all of the athletes on stage from the other side of the judging table.

I had a photo shoot with Sean Pualic from Shoot to Thrill at the beginning of August and submitted and entry into the Oxygen Cover Girl Competition this year and enjoyed travel to Perth to see my family and a few trips to the Gold Coast with Living Beauty.

It has been a HUGE year, not without its ups and downs, it has had its challenges. But it is a year I can look back on and smile. Not only have I achieved so many things, but I actually committed to working on the mindset, and addressing self limiting habits and thoughts in order to allow me to achieve these things. I hope that this inspires you to reflect on your own self talk, dream big, believe in yourself and reach for the stars.  Don’t ever give up on yourself.

“ A dream is just a goal with a plan.”

Much Love
